![]() Of course reading a book is more than wonderful, I know that. I am trying hard to sit down and read for an hour but I enjoy it more and get more done if I listen to it. I forget, that all the audiobooks I listen to are the same books, just that somebody reads it to me, they feel more like a guilty pleasure and it feels like reading them would be better.Īudiobooks are very fun for me, sitting down to read a book isn’t anymore.Īpart from obvious advantages like perfecting spelling etc, is reading a book for real better for you? I often hear about the neural pathways and brain training but does that also occur with listening to the same text instead of consuming it yourself? I barely sit down to read anymore but I listen to probably 2-3 books a month as audiobooks (while cooking, cleaning and with a sleep timer every night.) I am trying to get back into reading and it’s not being easy at all (and I don’t know why). TLDR: what advantages am I missing out of if I listen to books instead of reading them?
